Children’s Ministries

We Heard YOU!

St. James Church is pleased to announce Nursery care during Sunday morning worship services, beginning Sunday, Nov. 18!   The Nursery will be for children from infants to their third birthday, in Room 10.  Children may be dropped off as early as 9:00 am so that parents may enjoy the worship experience!

But wait!  There’s more!

Children age 3 through 6 will now have a Children’s Church Program to attend!  After the Children’s Moment in church, the children will be escorted to Room 4 by Miss Terri, Happy Trails Director and other staff!  The children will receive lessons on basic Christian stories and beliefs during Children’s Church!

All children must be picked up immediately following worship, and before joining the refreshment and goodies time!  And all staff and volunteers will abide by the Church’s Safe Sanctuaries Policy!  For more information, please call Pastor Bob at 327-5989!

Children’s Sunday School

The Children’s Division, children through 5th grade, will begin using a new curriculum in September 2012 titled “Grow-Proclaim-Serve.” This will be taught by experienced, dedicated teachers. At 10:45 am, children practice the songs they will sing during the worship service once per month. Sunday School class time is 11:00 – 11:45 am. All children are welcome to come and learn about Jesus through Bible stories and activities. Our goal is to give children the opportunity to grow in God’s love and experience His unconditional love and grace.

Youth Sunday School

The youth have requested reading and studying the Bible. Currently they are reading Luke and have been using Max Lucado’s study guides. They plan to use the study guides for the rest of the New Testament and eventually, the Old Testament.
